Looking for an old European Christmas story titled "For Whom the Bells Toll".?

It was available on 78 rpm records in the late 1940s early 1950s. Story was about a young boy, an old woman, and a young knight who made the bells ring in a castle in some European kindgom with their gifts at Christmas.

It is part of a poem written by Donne in the 16th century. Others have used the line: "For Whom the Bell Tolls, it tolls for thee." Tne poem begins, "No man is an Island." It is titled "Meditation 17.

Reply:The only story I know by that title is by Ernest Hemingway. The story is not the same though. Are you sure you have the correct title or could it just be the title of the record?
