Christmas memories?

I want to know your Christmas memories! (Only happy ones please!) It can be about Santa, baking, and any thing else! I really want it about Santa or Christmas eve! Like if it was on Christmas eve saying like you heard bells or scratching!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!

Christmas memories?
I remember baking cookies with my grandma. Mmmm, peanut butter. I remember asking one year how Santa came to her house because she only had a wood stove not a full fireplace. She said that she and Santa were old friends so she just left the door unlocked for him.
Reply:When I played Santa Claus at the local mall. I have blue eyes that showed up well in the pictures and word started to get around. And the mall management said i was the best Santa that year. Great fun and memories that will stay with me forever. I would have continued doing it. But now the real beard Santa's are in and I don't want to grow a beard.
Reply:The best memories I have of Christmas are when as a child, my Grammie would make new decorations for the tree and we would hang the new with the old. I still carry on the tradition to this day with my children.
Reply:I didn't know it at the time but it was my family. It is hard not to think of the ones who are lost but we deprive ourselves of the ones we have when we do.
Reply:Kris wrote such a beautiful story. A Christmas that could have been ALL bad but turned out to be a lovely memory. Thank you Kris. I also had similar experiences and turned them around. Merry Christmas to all!
Reply:my very best christmas memory is about my cousin Joe. he was fighting in Iraq and he told us he wasnt going to make it for christmas. i am very close to my cousin and this really depressed me. at the christmas party no one was happy because Joe wasnt there. he is always the life of the party. then at about 10 that night we were sitting in the living room opening gifts and the doorbell rang. i went to open the door and i saw Joe standing there. i just couldnt believe it. i hugged him and cried. that is the best memory i have of christmas
Reply:I was about 12 years old. My mother had married a new man, and they got the bedroom upstairs, and I had to sleep in the basement of my grandparents house. They were fighting ... again, as usual. I was 'stressed out' and snuck out of the house on Christmas Eve. The streetlights made the snow look blue. I knew where I wanted to go ... I walked 14 blocks to the 'office' of the old apartments we'd lived at when we lived in the same city. The owners/managers always put up a 'Christmas Village' on the counter in the office and I was staring in the window at that lovely scene when the manager came out and caught me. He took me into his apartment, where his wife gave me hot cocoa and cookies ... and then the manager drove me back to my grandparents house, where he 'watched me' sneak back into the house. He NEVER TOLD ON ME ... and I really loved that about that night and that 'wonderful evening' ... the manager and his wife had never had children and HATED kids, but he was a 'wonderful man' who understood my stress as no one else had. Merry Christmas to ALL of you!
Reply:I looveee Christmas!! I remember putting reindeer food out in the front garden and carrots on the ground for Rudolf hehe! Also I remember on Cristmas Eve I used to try and stay up all night trying to hear Santa lol, but I would just fall asleep. Oooh .. When it is Christmas morning .. me and my twin would always wake up like at 7:00am and flush the toilet LOTS of times to wake everybody up and then just run in and jump on mum and dads bed lol! I'm Soooo looking forward to this Christmas!! Only 1 month to go !! =D
