The following songs are winter songs and make no reference to Christmas, and could be played from the first day of winter (or from the first snowfall) until the first day of spring. But radio stations only play them along with Christmas music. Can you think of any others? Jingle Bells, Jingle Bell Rock, Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Marshmallow World, Frosty the Snowman, (Here Comes) Suzy Snowflake, Toyland, March of the Toys..................
Ever wonder why radio stations play "winter" songs only at Christmas time?
how about "Baby it's cold outside"?... i love that song
Reply:Many of us get sickened when we hear them in November and by the time christmas comes, they are so over played that we don't want to hear them for at least another year!!! If it was a once in awhile thing- with out them being over played, I don't think anyone would really care it we had them all year.
Reply:I have noticed that, and winter really comes in January! You make a good point.
Reply:Yes I do.

Reply:Yes....That's how they do. Can get on ones nerves at times
Reply:Cause if they played them anymore than they already do, they would be hunt down and shot.
Reply:It's that time of year.
Reply:They also get played some in July - so you can remember winter.
